The Dallas Zoo

Well, it was 60 and sunny today so we headed out to the Dallas Zoo. Can't really pass up an opportunity to soak up the sun in the middle of winter!

I haven't been to this zoo since I was much younger (think middle school) so I was excited to check it out. I have to say that I don't like this zoo as much as the Fort Worth one, EXCEPT that it has a fantastic children's area. I would pay the admission price just to spend a couple hours in that area alone. Annabelle loved the cute petting zoo area, fish tank and the playground where she could run in and out of tunnels and over rocks. It was a blast. Other than that she enjoyed the elephants exhibit and the donkeys.

Side note- I am constantly amazed that she can/wants to walk all the time. If it were up to her, Annabelle would have walked the entire zoo. Too bad her little legs don't move quite as quickly as ours.

A Rainy Weekend

Last weekend we had really yucky weather- rainy and cold- so we had to get creative to avoid being stir crazy. Annabelle got to play with play doh, get messy with paint and shaving cream, and we even spent some time in the garage playing games and enjoying all her riding toys. Here are some pics. 

Christmas Playgroup

Hi there!! You might have thought that I dropped off this earth since its been so long since my last update!

This one is a bit of a throw back- pics from our Christmas playgroup. Tessa was so sweet to take tons of pics (she is getting to be quite the photog!). I am including just a few. Obviously we had an amazing time and the decorations and food ect were fab but I was really just so glad that Annabelle and I got to visit with our friends. My new work schedule has interrupted our normal playdates and we miss our friends terribly!

Play Time

Annabelle made out like a bandit this Christmas- tricycle, play kitchen, new shopping cart, clothes, books, puzzles ect. Lucky, lucky little girl. Here she is playing with some of her new loot.

Christmas in Austin

The day after Christmas we loaded up the car and headed to Mimi and Gramps house for round 2 of Christmas celebration. We met Bryan, Steph and Kinsey and Gray in Austin so all of the Magers clan was together. I loved every second of it! Annabelle and the twins played well together as always. It was nice to see them starting to really interact- I think mostly because Gray is walking all over the place and can (kind of) keep up with A. With little baby Magers (Phil and Katie) on the way I wish everyone lived closer together so we could get all the kids together more often. Probably not going to happen but I can dream and enjoy the times that we are together.
