Play Time

Annabelle made out like a bandit this Christmas- tricycle, play kitchen, new shopping cart, clothes, books, puzzles ect. Lucky, lucky little girl. Here she is playing with some of her new loot.

Christmas in Austin

The day after Christmas we loaded up the car and headed to Mimi and Gramps house for round 2 of Christmas celebration. We met Bryan, Steph and Kinsey and Gray in Austin so all of the Magers clan was together. I loved every second of it! Annabelle and the twins played well together as always. It was nice to see them starting to really interact- I think mostly because Gray is walking all over the place and can (kind of) keep up with A. With little baby Magers (Phil and Katie) on the way I wish everyone lived closer together so we could get all the kids together more often. Probably not going to happen but I can dream and enjoy the times that we are together.

Christmas Day in Dallas

Christmas is for the kiddos. I love watching Annabelle's face as she discovers all her new toys. She is still so young that I am not sure that she really understands what is going on but she is catching on. I think that she will really be into opening presents next year! Regardless, A made out well this year with a new play kitchen and table and chairs. She also got a potty, clothes ect... not as interested in those gifts! HA!

White Christmas

We did not expect to have a white Christmas, but we got one! And, it was very pretty with huge snowflakes. If it hadn't rained earlier in the day I think we would have had a significant accumulation. Maybe a couple inches... Anyway we took A out to see the snow for the first time. She wasn't interested in being cold and wet. I don't blame her! We took a couple pics and headed back inside.

Christmas Eve

This was the first year that the Nickles hosted Christmas in Dallas. We were fortunate enough to have Katie and Phil come in from Arizona and Mom and Dad down from Austin to spend the holiday with us at home. I have to admit I was a bit nervous to take on such a big event but it turned out just fine since I chose to make it VERY low key. Christmas Eve we all went to church at Wilshire and then out to Grimaldi's for pizza. Crowd favorite.  Once we got back from dinner Annabelle got to open her present from Deedle- pj's to help her sleep and have sweet dreams. The rest of the house guests were wearing their new jammies as well per request. (Stephen and I were in matching red penguin pj's). It was a fun new tradition. Once A went to bed- Santa and his elves went to work putting new toys together. I enjoyed watching all at work. Here are some pics from church ect.

Trains at NorthPark

The Nickles family braved NorthPark Mall on Sunday to check out the Christmas trains exhibit. Annabelle loves trains so we knew that she was going to enjoy checking out the display. It exceeded our expectations with very detailed sets and plenty of trains humming along the tracks. I could have stayed and watched the trains for hours it was so intricate. Annabelle liked that they had some trains a eye level for her as well.

Here are some pics:

Holiday Fun

This is a delayed round up of the weekly activities- sorry! Annabelle has been a very busy girl between being sick, school activities and holiday fun. Last week Mimi came to visit us for our annual holiday baking session. We made a ridiculous amount of Xmas cookies and they are ALL delicious! AND, we also got to do some shopping and enjoy some fun Christmas activities (like story time at the mall and visiting SANTA) since I was also off of work. Here are some of my fav pics from the last week and a half.
