Happy Halloween, Love Annabee and her keepers

Halloween is so fun when you have the right set of ingredients- the perfect costume, good company and nice weather for trick or treating. We had all of those things last night and it was a blast.

The costumes- CHECK. Mimi made Annabelle's bee costume (you saw a preview in a previous posting). It was awesome! I made the accessories- beekeeper hats and A's treat bag. We made an adorable bee family!

Good company- CHECK. Mimi, me, Stephen and all the neighborhood kiddos were out trick or treating last night. It was sweet. I have to say that we have such a great hood. It was just the right amount of houses for a 2 year old and everyone was cooing over A's cute costume.

Nice weather- CHECK, CHECK! Clear, cool, with a slight breeze. Perfect.

We ended the night with pizza and Charlie Brown. Life is good.

Halloween fun

Annabelle had her class party last Friday. Everyone was encourage to wear their costumes so A got to dress up as a bee a little early. She loved it and I know that she is looking forward to wearing it again on Thursday. Mimi did a great job (as always) on her little costume! I can't wait to take more pics of her trick or treating in our neighborhood.

I included some pics below of A at the party..... oh, and some pics of A painting her little pumpkin on Saturday. She had so much fun!

Sweetest bee in the world!

A and Crockett- her best buddy. He apparently didn't want to wear his lion costume!

Cheese!

Painting pumpkins is so fun.

Last holiday at Mimi and Gramps house in Austin

We like Mimi and Gramps Austin home...... but we LOVE that they are moving to Dallas! So the crew had a farewell party (of sorts) over the holiday weekend. Kids running around, dogs barking, pool time and tons of toys all around the house. It was lovely.

Valentine's Day

I love Valentine's Day. It's one of my favs. Pink, red, hearts, candy... what's not to love? And, besides the fact that Annabelle had pink eye, it was really a great day. (PS-Pink eye... not fun but it was a festive color!) Here are some pics of our little one celebrating Valentines day.

Play Time

Annabelle made out like a bandit this Christmas- tricycle, play kitchen, new shopping cart, clothes, books, puzzles ect. Lucky, lucky little girl. Here she is playing with some of her new loot.

Christmas in Austin

The day after Christmas we loaded up the car and headed to Mimi and Gramps house for round 2 of Christmas celebration. We met Bryan, Steph and Kinsey and Gray in Austin so all of the Magers clan was together. I loved every second of it! Annabelle and the twins played well together as always. It was nice to see them starting to really interact- I think mostly because Gray is walking all over the place and can (kind of) keep up with A. With little baby Magers (Phil and Katie) on the way I wish everyone lived closer together so we could get all the kids together more often. Probably not going to happen but I can dream and enjoy the times that we are together.

Christmas Eve

This was the first year that the Nickles hosted Christmas in Dallas. We were fortunate enough to have Katie and Phil come in from Arizona and Mom and Dad down from Austin to spend the holiday with us at home. I have to admit I was a bit nervous to take on such a big event but it turned out just fine since I chose to make it VERY low key. Christmas Eve we all went to church at Wilshire and then out to Grimaldi's for pizza. Crowd favorite.  Once we got back from dinner Annabelle got to open her present from Deedle- pj's to help her sleep and have sweet dreams. The rest of the house guests were wearing their new jammies as well per request. (Stephen and I were in matching red penguin pj's). It was a fun new tradition. Once A went to bed- Santa and his elves went to work putting new toys together. I enjoyed watching all at work. Here are some pics from church ect.
