Summer Fun

Annabelle told me that she wanted to go swimming today...

I'm 7 weeks old!

Oh, how time flies!! Annabelle is 7 weeks old and close to 8 lbs now. Her weight seems to be evenly distributed but her legs and cheeks are filling out the most. She is starting to smile in response to your smile as apposed to just when she has gas. She is holding her head up for longer periods of time and really likes to look around at lights, fans and her crib mobile. Annabelle is starting to sleep for longer periods of time- 5.5 hrs is the longest on record. I am extremely grateful for the extended sleep times and hope that she continues to make progress in this department!

Ode to the Magic Chair

Thank goodness for the Lamb chair! We probably wouldn't be sleeping at all if it weren't for this magic chair. Annabelle doesn't like to sleep on her back in the Pack and Play or the crib. I know that she will eventually have to be weened from sleeping here at night but until then- THANK GOODNESS FOR THE LAMB CHAIR!!!

A Trip To Austin

Annabelle went to "cool" Austin for the first time this week. Mimi and Gramps were kind enough to let us stay at their house for a week. Annabelle loved seeing the sights around town (by loved I mean slept a lot and didn't cry!) and playing with all the cool new baby gear that Mimi bought. It was a fun trip. Plus we got a lot done for Steph's upcoming baby shower. Here are a few pics of A at Mimi and Gramps house.

One month old!

Happy one month old birthday! I can't believe how big you are getting!

Annabelle can lift her head briefly and is starting to recognize voices. She can also follow toys with her eyes and can turn her head. Annabelle eats every 3 hours during the day and 4 hours at night- she is very consistent and scheduled.

Mimi and Gramps Visit Dallas

Of course my Mom has been in Dallas for a little over a month helping me and Stephen out with the baby. It has been amazing! I am not sure how I will ever thank her for all the help! Gramps came to visit on the weekends and we loved having both of them in town. Annabelle is lucky to have such wonderful grandparents!
