Emma and Ava

Annabelle had a great time playing with Emma and Ava. It was such a blast watching them run around on the beach house lawn and in the sand together. Its too bad that they live so far away. They wore each other out having so much fun!

The Wedding

The RI weather was perfect- sunny and cool temps- all the way up to the wedding day. It poured down rain for pretty much all of the big day. Oh well! They say it's good luck! Anyway, I think it turned out just fine. Brynn looked beautiful and so happy. Here are some pics from the rehearsal and the wedding day.

Newport

I loved Newport! I wish we could have spent more time there. Annabelle loved the beach and I really enjoyed the small town atmosphere. Here are some pics of our time there (and a short video on the beach). I think A's favorite part was covering Mimi's toes in the sand!

Boston

We flew into and out of Boston for our grand trip. It was really nice because we got a chance to do a little sightseeing around the waterfront and eat some good seafood. Plus it was a short ride to RI from Boston so we didn't have too much time in the car. A enjoyed watching at the boats. When we go back to Boston we will definitely go to the aquarium.... just not enough time this round.

Airplane!

We have been looking forward to our trip to Rhode Island for a while. Brynn, my cousin, was all set to walk down the aisle and we were so excited to be a part of her big day! We built in a couple extra play days so that we could enjoy Boston, Newport and some surrounding areas. Looking back, I wish we had a couple extra days on top of that so that we could have enjoyed the beach longer.... oh well. Guess we will have to plan another trip back.

Annabelle did a great job on the plane ride and slept a good portion of the ride up and back. She loved watching the planes take off and probably would have been happy if we had just spent the entire trip at the airport!

Baby Charlie

I went to AZ to visit sweet baby Charlie (and his parents) last weekend. It was so fun to see Phillip and Katie and their little bundle of joy. They seem to really fall comfortably into parenting mode. Charlie is such a joy and he has the cutest smile and gorgeous blue eyes. I can't wait to hold him again in December. Seems so far away!!

Growing Up

Our sweet girl recently had her annual check up. The doctor gave her the thumbs up. Turns out that A has some skills that are beyond her 2 years. She can say the alphabet, count to 18 (give or take a number) and has her colors down. She can follow directions, put her clothes on and sing several songs from beginning to end. Doctor says that these skills usually fall toward kids that are 3yrs old. Annabelle's stats were on the smaller size- she weighs in at 23lbs (6th percentile) and is a little over 32 in tall (13th percentile). They estimate her full grown height to be around 5'4". We will see.

Here are some pics from the past couple weeks. She is getting so big!

Potty Training

Annabelle officially started potty training a couple weeks ago. I was confident that she was ready and could get the hang of going in the potty in no time. Turns out A had other plans. Getting her to sit on the potty was never a problem... she's been doing that for a while now. The problem is when you want her to stay on the potty for more than two seconds. She is not interested in hanging out there. Anyway, it has been a process and she is slowly coming around and understanding. She is consistently going at least 2 times a day in the potty. And she is getting better about telling us when she needs to go both number 1 and number 2.

Stay tuned!

Super Annabelle

It never gets old! Annabelle now sings "it's super Annabelle, super Annabelle" when she has her cape on. Here are some pics of her zooming around at the park with Barkey. She was also teaching her stuffed friend how to sit. (Tillie wouldn't participate.)
