Pumpkins, friends and swings

Its Fall again and while the temperature hasn't cool yet it is just around the corner. Here are some pics of last week's fun at the Arboretum and swinging at the park. I am sure you will see plenty more pics of pumpkins, friends and swings in the very near future.

Happy beginning of Fall y'all!

Woody Visits Dallas

We were so thrilled to have Woody stay with us in September. He is such a big part of Stephen's life and I know that it meant a lot to him to have Woody here. It was great to have such a low key visit- trips to the park, watching football, lots of QT. It was nice. Hope we can get together again soon.

A and G

Annabelle and Gwen are fast friends. And now, not only are they neighbors but they go to school and ballet together. So fun. They are so sweet together and have so much fun. This clip is from a playdate a while back. Thought it was worth including. :-)

Harper's Birthday

Annabelle had so much fun at Harper's 2nd birthday party. She was loving the fact that it was held at a pet store and got to see all sorts of animals. She really enjoyed seeing the turtle, bunnies and even the snakes. (She's fearless!) Check it out below.

Christmas Playgroup

Hi there!! You might have thought that I dropped off this earth since its been so long since my last update!

This one is a bit of a throw back- pics from our Christmas playgroup. Tessa was so sweet to take tons of pics (she is getting to be quite the photog!). I am including just a few. Obviously we had an amazing time and the decorations and food ect were fab but I was really just so glad that Annabelle and I got to visit with our friends. My new work schedule has interrupted our normal playdates and we miss our friends terribly!

Perot Museum of Nature and Science

This museum is so great! Annabelle and I went to check out the new Perot this week with our friends  Katie, Cordelia and Gwen. First off there is no way you can conquer this museum in one visit but we did try to at least preview all the floors. Annabelle enjoyed the Children's exhibit where she got to play in the cute waterfall and on gym equipment. She even participated in the arts and crafts area and played with blocks. I could see that she really wanted to go "dig for bones"as well but that part was outside and in a big sandbox. We are going to save that for another time.

Other parts she enjoyed- the animals exhibit where there was a bunch of stuffed animals that looked alive (creepy). Anywho she loved looking and pointing at the animals. She also loved the sound room in the Life section. She played the piano and rocked out on the drums. The huge dinosaur area was very cool- my fav- but A was a little overwhelmed by it. I don't think she got that part.

Overall....SO FUN! I can't wait to go back.

Warning: these pics stink! A was running around enjoying herself so much I couldn't get her to stay still to take pics! Haha!

Christmas Parade

So we kicked off the Christmas holiday season by attending the Dallas Children's Hospital Christmas Parade on Saturday. It was super fun. We had our neighbors with us- Katie and Cordelia and we all had a blast. Annabelle really enjoyed the bands and was amused by the balloons. I think this is probably a Nickles tradition in the making!!

Halloween (The Extended Version)

Annabelle did Halloween right this year! She had a special costume- made carefully and beautifully by Mimi and she celebrated on three separate occasions. The first was a block party with some of her friends, the second occasion was at the Big Orange Pumpkin Farm with Dad and the playgroup and finally trick or treating in our neighborhood. I know A had a great time and so did her Mom and Dad.

I took a ton of pics so bare with me.... Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween from our sweet strawberry!
