This year we kicked off our Thanksgiving by participating in the Dallas Turkey Trot. It was freezing but so fun. After the race, we headed home and took it easy. We watched the parade, part of the dog show and took naps. Relax was the word of the day.
Dinner was low key since Annabelle refuses to eat any standard Turkey day staples. So, it was pretty much Thanksgiving for two ---with a side of mac and cheese for A and a turkey/pea/carrot squeezie for E. Ha! Don't judge, at least clean up was easy!

Happy Halloween from our sweets!
Trick or Treat!!!!! Turns out, we were all treats this year! Mimi outdid herself again with Annabelle's cupcake fairy costume this year! It was adorable and so sweet. She always works so hard on these costumes and we are so grateful. Not just for her work but for the memories she creates on Halloween and everyday after when she wears the costume for dress up play.
Ethan was also one of our favorite treats, POPCORN! Yummy and oh so cute! Enjoy the pics!

Family Pics
Back in July we had a family photo shoot. It was an "experience," to say the least. All the kids were in a bad mood (except Annabelle- she was actually smiley in most of the pics). It was hot and muggy. Great combination, don't you think? Anyway, we did manage with the help of photoshop, to get a good group photo. Check out the pics below. My absolute fav is the last pic. Kids are saying, "WE ARE DONE!"

Kicking off all the July festivities
The first week in July is my absolute fav time of the year. Not only do we get to celebrate 4th of July, our anniversary and Annabelle's birthday but we also have lots of family in town. This year all the fam came to Dallas- Uncle Phil, Aunt Katie and Charlie, Uncle Bryan, Aunt Steph and the twins visited for all the festivities. It was so much fun to spend time with them! We also got to have our first big family photo shoot--- all the cousins were present and accounted for. Altho, none of them really were thrilled with the early morning curtain call! Despite the challenging environment and not so thrilled children involved, the shoot was considered a success and we did get ONE good pic of all the fam. It will be an experience that we will always remember (and learn from!!).
Here are some pics from July 4th, family photo shoot and beyond. Annabelle's birthday is up in another post.

Easter and (MORE) Pre Easter Festivities
Saturday afternoon Mimi and Gramps had us over for an early Easter celebration complete with presents from the bunny and an egg hunt. Annabelle is a pro hunter at this point so she knew how to take care of business! She and Gramps strategized on how best to go about hunting the eggs and then off she went. There were several rounds of hunting. It was cute.
I didn't get very many pics of our family on Easter day. Not for lack of trying.... I guess you will have to take my word that the kiddos (and parents) looked super cute. Anyway, we did get up early and Annabelle ripped through her Easter basket and loved all the things that big bunny left her. She liked the bunny ball popper the most and the chocolate, of course.
Church was nice. We were slightly late but made we made it and Ethan almost made it through the whole service without crying. Annabelle had a nice time in wit her new friends at church. We considered it a win. After church we had brunch with Mimi and Gramps at Breadwinners. It was yummy. Then we headed over to check out the blue bonnets. They were lovely.

Egg Hunting
A is a seasoned egg hunter. We have been to three egg hunts in the past two weeks, once at the LECPTA, the Dallas Arboretum and finally at her school. She has had a lot of fun and really gets into the hunt! Here are some pics of the LECPTA and the Arboretum events. I know there are a lot of pics... I couldn't narrow them down. I love them all!
